MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His music has seen major international inroads into the Latin popular music scene. In the year 2017, his 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. The singer released his first long-player ADN with the Sony-owned company based in Medellin, La Industria Inc. On the Top Latin Albums chart, it ranked no. 8. Vaina Loca, one of the Top Five hit of Ozuna's Top Five album in 2007 led him to join Ozuna. He worked alongside Noriel in the song Mala Influencia in 2020 and in the year following, he released his sophomore album the charting Dopamina. Later in 2021 he performed a duet on the TINI streaming hit track Maldita Foto. In 2023, he appeared on 2000, featuring the smash hit La Bachata. Turizo has an musical family, as both his mother and elder brother are musicians. In his interviews, he's talked about playing music as an obligation. He learned how to play the guitar, saxophone the ukulele and piano when he was an infant. His initial choice of career was to become a vet, but his brother Julian convinced him to study singing with a Cuban instructor. The end result was that he found his talent for singing and transformed his career path.
